Housing Inequality Requires Structural Solutions
- Team EIFFEL

Last week, the CPB showed that around 12,000 social housing tenants also own one or more properties. These aren't isolated cases. This is structural property ownership alongside social housing.
In a country with a persistent and severe housing shortage, that's a problem. Social housing is meant for people who truly need it. When people who own property live in social housing, it blocks fair distribution of scarce housing.
The CPB research makes clear this isn't a fringe issue. The 12,000 known cases are likely just part of a much larger number. This calls for better insight and targeted action.
Team EIFFEL supports housing corporations and municipalities in mapping this problem quickly and thoroughly. We have all the expertise in-house: from processes and data to legal frameworks. With smart, data-driven solutions—including AI—our experts make large and complex files clear and manageable. We help organizations make better decisions faster.
For urgent social issues like fair distribution of scarce housing, analysis and execution must come together. Only then do you get solutions that are both feasible and effective.
